DAY 1: Arrival in Hanoi (-, -, -)

Lachongvoyages representative will greet and pick you up at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi. Located on the banks of the Red River, Vietnam’s capital is a stylish and gracious city that retains a unique old world charm and has some of Asia‘s most striking colonial architecture. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy an evening water puppet show, a theatrical genre reflecting the agricultural civilization of thousands of years ago. Stay overnight in Hanoi.


DAY 2: HANOI – HA LONG (B/-/-)

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour which features Hanoi’s cultural and historical highlights, including Historical Museum, Uncle Ho’s Stilt House, One-Pillared Pagoda, Temple of Literature and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Afternoon leave for Ha Long and visit But Thap Pagoda on the way. Stay overnight in Halong.


DAY 3: Halong – Hanoi – Hoi An (B, L, -)

Embark a traditional-style wooden boat at a nearby wharf for a 4-hour cruise around the wondrous Halong Bay, a World Heritage site listed by UNESCO in 1994. Visit some magical grottoes, marvel at odd-shaped islands and relax in the best scenic beauty of Vietnam. Lunch of fresh seafood is served on board. Transfer to Noi Bai airport for an evening flight to Da Nang. Pick up on arrival at Da Nang Airport and transfer to Hoi An, known as Faifo to early Western traders and recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1999. Stay overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 4: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue (B, -, -)

In the morning, have a walking tour of the Hoi An ancient town. Stroll around the Hoi An Ancient Quarter Area to visit a number of temples, pagodas, communal houses, traditional shops, local markets and other places of interest and watch local daily activities, handicraftsmen at work and a lively show of traditional dancing and music.
In the afternoon, depart for Hue via the Pass of Ocean Clouds and the scenic fishing village of Lang Co. Along the way stop to visit the stone-carving village of Non Nuoc and the Museum of Cham Sculpture (close on Monday) with the World’s finest collection of some 300 Cham sculpture exhibits dating from the 7th to the 15th centuries. Optional with surcharge: enjoy a Hue folk show on a barge on the Perfume River in the evening. Stay overnight in Hue.

DAY 5: Hue (B, -, -)

Enjoy a full day tour of Hue, a former imperial city of Vietnam ruled by 13 Nguyen dynasties. Explore the Royal Citadel, built in 1804 on a site chosen in accordance with geomancy. The tour of Imperial City features Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace (Palace of Supreme Harmony), and Forbidden Purple City. Optional: royal music at Duyet Thi Duong Theatre. Then transfer to the lively Dong Ba Market by cyclo. In the afternoon, take a boat along Perfume River. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda and Hon Chen Temple. The last stop is Minh Mang’s Mausoleum. Stay overnight in Hue.


DAY 6: Hue – Ho Chi Minh City (B, -, -)

Transfer to Phu Bai airport for a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up on arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to hotel. Have an afternoon sightseeing tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Reunification Palace (the former Presidential Palace) and the Central Post Office, then have a short walk along the shopping Dong Khoi Street from Notre Dame Cathedral to the Municipal Theatre. Experience the Saigon River Cruise “Bach Dang Wharf- Phu My Hung Urban Area route (2 hours)”. Embark a canoe at Thu Thiem Inland Waterway Pier for a leisure cruise along Ben Nghe Canal parallel to the Vo Van Kiet Avenue, passing by such the well-known sites as Bach Dang Wharf, Nha Rong Wharf, Khanh Hoi Bridge, Ong Lanh Bridge and Kenh Te Canal. Then navigate along Rach Ong Lon Canal to get to Phu My Hung Urban Area where visitors can disembark for visiting Anh Sao bridge & Phu My Hung Crescent Mall. Continue cruising downstream Rach Bang Canal across Phu Xuan Bridge to Nha Be River and return to Bach Dang Wharf passing by Den Do crossing, Phu My Bridge and Tan Thuan Seaport. Drive through the bustling Cho Lon (District 5) with stop-over at the Thien Hau Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea. Drop by a hand-embroidery workshop and Ben Thanh Market on the way back to your hotel. DAY 7: Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, -)

Drive 75km to My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River. On arrival board a private boat for a boat cruise along one of the Mekong River’s main tributaries to an islet. Once at there, visit some local homes and orchards where you can taste seasonal fruits and honey tea and enjoy a performance of traditional southern singing. Continue with a horse-drawn cart ride along village lanes and a sampan ride through palm-shaded creeks. Lunch of Mekong specialties is served at local restaurant. Enjoy an evening Á Ố Show Saigon, a unique and immensely enjoyable experience, full with mesmerizing sounds, enchanting live music, charming dance and dynamic acrobatics in a vibrant and light-hearted series of sketches about Vietnam’s rural and urban lives. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.


DAY 8: Departure from Ho Chi Minh City (B, -, -)

Spend last minutes shopping (ceramics, silver-carvings, silk, etc.) before check-out. Transfer to the airport for departure flight.
